Waruni Sam, DVM
Dr. Sam has worked more than 15 years in a Small Animal practice, as well as Emergency Medicine and General Practice. She is keen on Spay/Neuter and other soft tissue surgeries.
She completed the Veterinary Skills Enhancement program conducted by Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph University. She has completed both Canadian and USA Veterinary license’s.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 kids. She is known for her knowledge, compassion and laughter!

Veterinarian/Clinic owner
Dr. Hewa has worked over 20 years in a Small Animal Practice and mixed Animal Practice. He graduated in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sri Lanka in 1999.
He has worked in New Zealand, Australia And Saudi Arabia. He is a fully licensed veterinarian in both Canada and USA.

Tracy moved to Calgary from the UK in 2009. She grew up with cats and dogs, as well as being an avid horse rider. After graduating with a BSc in Information Management and working in research and statistics, she decided to change careers and follow her passion to work with animals. She is a graduate of the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Bow Valley College, and is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at Penn Foster.
In addition to working at the clinic, Tracy coaches horse riding lessons and offers a pet sitting service, as well as being mum to her children and 2 cats.

Mahin was raised in an environment surrounded by animals. Her love of animals brought her to earn her Veterinary Health Care Assistant diploma in 2022, and she joined our clinic in September 2023. She is also currently pursuing the Veterinary Technician program at Penn Foster. Mahin brings to the clinic a strong commitment to compassionate care, always treating every animal with empathy and ensuring their comfort

Ella grew up in Calgary with dogs and exotics where she quickly fell in love with animals and their care. She graduated with her Veterinary Assistant Diploma in 2024 and has since been following her passion of caring for animals, first at a doggy daycare, and now at Ranchlands Veterinary Clinic. Her dedication to animal welfare contributes to a positive and nurturing environment for all our patients.

Patient Care Representative
Grace grew up on a farm surrounded by animals large and small. She has always been passionate about animal care, and was a member of 4H when she was at school. She came to Ranchlands originally as a volunteer and is now a valued member of our team. She will be going to Olds College in February to study to become a veterinary technician. She enjoys helping our clients and saying hello to our furry friends.
